New Cotswolds neighbors of David and Victoria Beckham have been unveiled as Blair Raymond James and his wife Melanie Adams, who acquired the adjacent property for a remarkable £16.5 million. The Beckhams have resided in their Cotswolds mansion near Chipping Norton since 2016, when they purchased the property for £6,150,000. Situated close to Soho Farmhouse, a prestigious celebrity retreat frequented by notable figures like Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Tom Cruise, the Beckhams’ estate now neighbors the newly acquired 15-acre land owned by Blair Raymond James.
Blair, hailing from a small town near Melbourne before relocating to the UK in 1986, co-founded the highly successful self-tanning brand Bondi Sands, which was later sold for a significant sum. Overcoming financial challenges and personal loss at a young age, Blair has emerged as a self-made millionaire and currently leads Growth Bomb, a successful haircare company he established during the pandemic. Noteworthy clients of his brand include Kylie Jenner, Olivia Attwood, and Charlotte Crosby.
The recent purchase of the land adjoining the Beckhams’ property was finalized on September 13, 2024, according to official documents. Although no structures have been erected on the land as of now, future development plans remain undisclosed. The property, known as “Upper Park Farm,” was previously owned by the directors of Great Tew Properties Ltd before being transferred to the Beckhams in 2016. The acquired land, now under the ownership of Mr. James and his wife, was transitioned from Great Tew Properties Limited to Imperium Trust Company in 2021.
The Beckhams’ own residence, set within a two-acre expanse, has undergone extensive renovations, boasting amenities such as a glasshouse, a pond, a wine cellar, and a football pitch. The property, a former working farm dating back to 1820, spans 14,270 square feet and features nine bedrooms, four bathrooms, a movie theater, and a gym. Outside, the garden showcases a sizable pool and a pergola-covered seating area.
Despite the transaction, Great Tew Properties Limited declined to comment on the sale. The news of the Beckham’s new neighbors emerged amidst reports of a planning dispute over a proposed access road to their estate. While the Beckhams seek to deter traffic to Soho Farmhouse, a nearby celebrity hotspot, objections have been raised by a neighboring party. The West Oxfordshire District Council is slated to make a decision on the matter in the near future.
