“Nelly Furtado Announces Special 20th Anniversary Edition of ‘Loose'”

In 2006, Nelly Furtado achieved her first No.1 Billboard 200 chart placement with her third album, “Loose.” The album’s fresh Timbaland-produced sound resonated globally, spawning hits like “Promiscuous,” “Maneater,” “Say It Right,” and “All Good Things (Come to an End).”

Recently, Furtado took to her social media platforms to announce a special 20th-anniversary edition of the album, set to release on Sept. 4. This edition will feature unreleased vault tracks, new interpretations, and brand-new music, including a long-awaited top-secret demo.

Moreover, Furtado unveiled a stripped-back version of “Maneater” called “Maneater (Ritual Version),” featuring a piano-led arrangement instead of the original synth-heavy production. The 2006 release of “Loose” remains her best-selling album, with 10 million copies sold and achieving six-times platinum status in Canada.

In 2021, Furtado released an expanded version of “Loose,” and her latest album, “7,” debuted in 2024. Earlier this year, she was honored with induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame by Drake, with a tribute medley performance by various artists celebrating her illustrious career.

Furtado has been active in music collaborations, contributing songs like “No Place Like Home” with Davido and Major Lazer for the official 2026 FIFA World Cup album, and “Electric Circus” with producer Boi-1da for Canada Soccer’s album, “What If It All Goes Right?”
