“British Man Found Dead in Majorca Shrubbery”

Authorities are probing the death of a British man whose unclothed body was discovered in shrubbery in the region of Majorca.

Police officials on the island have confirmed the man’s nationality and are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine their course of action. The unsettling find took place yesterday around midday when a group of workers noticed the man’s lifeless body concealed in bushes. Reports suggest the individual, believed to be 64 years old, was found lying motionless on his back without any attire.

The discovery occurred near a picturesque cove beach in the southeastern part of Majorca known as Cala Lombards, which was cordoned off by law enforcement. Reliable sources have indicated that there were no indications of violence on the man’s body or at the location, but all possibilities are being considered pending the post-mortem examination.

The autopsy is scheduled to occur later today at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Palma. The Civil Guard, responsible for the investigation, confirmed: “The deceased has been identified as a British citizen. The incident was reported yesterday afternoon by a worker in the vicinity around noon. The specific area is Cala Llombards in the municipality of Santanyi.”

A police spokesperson mentioned the inability to verify local claims that the deceased was completely naked when discovered. The spokesperson added, “This detail will be confirmed through the autopsy, though we understand his age to be 64 years.”

Detectives have not yet determined whether the man was a tourist visiting Majorca or a resident of the island, though indications suggest he lived locally. A witness residing near the area where the British man was found deceased reported seeing him walking alone in the vicinity prior to the grim discovery.
