Canada wrapped up the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series impressively by defeating Japan 20-10 in the final to clinch the Takasaki stop title, marking their second championship of the season following their victory in Shanghai in May.

The top-seeded Canadian team showcased dominance throughout the event, sweeping Pool A and then securing victories against China (21-9) in the quarterfinals and Neftchi SOCAR (22-12) in the semifinals. Paige Crozon stood out with 11 points and eight rebounds in the quarterfinal match against China, while Merissah Russell contributed eight points in the semifinal encounter.

In the final showdown, Canada took an early lead and maintained control throughout the game, eventually sealing a 20-10 win over Japan to claim the Takasaki title. Russell was awarded the Takasaki MVP title for her stellar performance, leading the tournament in player value (45.3) and drives (12), and ranking second in total points (32) and highlights (17).

Although Canada’s triumph concludes their Women’s Series campaign on a high note, they will not progress to the Project Redwings Shanghai Final in September.
