Vicky Pattison from “Strictly Come Dancing” seems to have revealed the first contestant for the upcoming season. She confirmed that her friend, Dani Dyer, will be returning to the dance competition after having to withdraw last minute due to an injury.
Dani, 29, and Vicky bonded during their training for the BBC show and have shown support for each other online. Dani, who was paired with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin, had to leave the competition abruptly just days before her debut performance, leaving her disappointed.
Although Dani couldn’t dance, she made an appearance at Saturday’s show to cheer on her fellow contestants and praised Vicky for her dance routine to Cheryl’s “Fight for This Love” during Icons Week.
Sharing pictures on her Instagram, Dani expressed her happiness watching “Strictly” and showed her love for Vicky. In response, Vicky hinted at Dani’s participation in next year’s series, promising to be in the front row every week to cheer her on.
Before her performance, Vicky reflected on her personal growth and transformation in the industry, emphasizing the importance of self-belief and determination. Her choice of song, “Fight for this Love,” held special meaning for her as she emphasized the concept of overcoming setbacks and defining one’s own narrative.
Following her performance, Cheryl commended Vicky and expressed her support, acknowledging Vicky’s Geordie spirit and sending her best wishes for the competition.
