Bruce Springsteen, popularly known as The Boss, extended a helping hand to director Scott Cooper and his family following the devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires. Cooper, who is working on the biopic “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere,” lost everything in the fire, prompting Springsteen to invite the filmmaker and his family to stay at his home. Scott expressed his gratitude, mentioning how Springsteen even gifted his daughter Stella a guitar after hers was lost in the fire.

The director shared with PEOPLE magazine the impact of Springsteen’s kindness, stating that the experience of being sheltered by the rock legend added a special depth to the film. The incident occurred while they were on set filming scenes, including one with actor Jeremy Allen White portraying Springsteen singing ‘Born To Run.’ Scott emotionally recounted the difficult moment when he received the news of his home being destroyed, leading to a day filled with sorrow and challenges.

Despite facing further hardships, such as having to euthanize their family dog, Scott commended his daughters for their resilience in the face of adversity. He acknowledged the trying times but also acknowledged the silver linings, describing the past year as a mix of challenges and blessings.

Jeremy Allen White, who plays Springsteen in the biopic, shared his experience of portraying the iconic musician and learning to sing and play guitar for the role. The actor highlighted the pressure and excitement of the role, emphasizing the dedication required to embody Springsteen authentically.
