KISS has mourned the loss of their head of security, Danny Francis, who recently succumbed to liver cancer after a courageous battle. Paul Stanley, the co-lead guitarist of the band, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, remembering Francis as a dear friend and indispensable team member for over three decades.
The sad news of Francis’s passing comes on the heels of a memorial service held for Ace Frehley, the original guitarist of KISS. Frehley was hospitalized due to a brain hemorrhage following a fall in his studio, leading to the cancellation of his upcoming tour dates before his untimely death at the age of 74.
Keith Leroux, another KISS associate, also paid tribute to Francis, describing him as a kind and beloved figure within the KISS community. The loss of both Francis and Frehley has deeply impacted those who knew them, creating a somber atmosphere within the KISS World.
Frehley, a founding member of KISS, left the band in 1982 but later rejoined for various tours and performances. His legacy in the music industry was celebrated in a recent event in New York City, honoring his contributions to rock music.
In a separate incident, Gene Simmons, another KISS member, was involved in a car crash after fainting while driving. Simmons was rushed to a hospital for evaluation but has since been released and is recovering at home under the care of his wife, Shannon Tweed.
The recent events have left the KISS community and fans in mourning, with tributes pouring in for the departed members and well-wishes for those recovering from health scares. The resilience and camaraderie within the KISS family continue to shine through during these challenging times.
