Canada continued its success at the 2026 ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships in Poznań by securing three more medals. Sophia Jensen and Brianna Hennessy both earned their second medals of the competition, with Jensen claiming silver in the women’s C1 200m event, closely behind Ukraine’s Liudmyla Luzan who took the gold. Jensen clocked a time of 44.90 seconds, while Hennessy captured silver in the women’s VL2 200m with a time of 1:00.82.
The women’s C4 crew composed of Katie Vincent, Zoe Wojtyk, Sloan MacKenzie, and Elizabeth Desrosiers-McArthur also contributed to Canada’s medal tally by clinching bronze in the C4 500m event with a time of 1:48.17. China secured the gold in this race, followed by Hungary with the silver.
With these achievements, Canada’s athletes demonstrated impressive performances, showcasing their skill and determination on the global stage in Poznań.
