A significant delay in a flight was caused by a woman who engaged in a disruptive altercation in the boarding area, insisting on sitting beside her partner.

The flight, scheduled to depart on November 2, was delayed by one hour and 40 minutes due to the woman’s confrontation with her partner prior to boarding the plane. Allegedly, the couple argued over accusations of infidelity and inappropriate behavior, leading to a heated exchange.

Upon boarding the Airbus A320 flight UO559 from Da Nang to Hong Kong, the couple found themselves seated apart. The woman, dissatisfied with the seating arrangement, demanded to be relocated next to her boyfriend, despite flight attendants explaining that seat assignments were final. This refusal sparked further agitation from the woman, causing a scene witnessed by other passengers.

In a more escalated situation, the woman reportedly pushed a flight attendant and continued to display aggressive behavior despite warnings from the crew. Ultimately, the couple was removed from the aircraft, allowing the flight to proceed.

The flight, operated by HK Express, landed at Hong Kong International Airport approximately 71 minutes behind schedule, arriving at around 10:36 pm. HK Express is a renowned low-cost airline based in Hong Kong, known for its affordable fares and regional flight network across Asia.
