A young girl tragically passed away after becoming unwell in a parking lot in Aberdeen just one day before her ninth birthday. Emergency services responded to the incident at Kingwells Park and Ride on Skene Road when Olivia Grace Edwards, aged eight, fell ill around 8:40 pm on Saturday. Despite efforts, Olivia was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
To support Olivia’s family, a GoFundMe campaign has been initiated by Kathryn Campbell to assist with the expenses for Olivia’s funeral. Described as a beautiful, funny, and sweet child, Olivia’s unexpected loss has left her parents, Mark and Georgina, her sisters Nieve and Hollie, and their circle of loved ones devastated.

Individuals expressed their sorrow and sympathy, acknowledging the profound impact of Olivia’s passing on her family and friends. Following the incident, authorities swiftly launched an investigation, cordoning off the area at Kingswells Park and Ride. Although the exact cause of Olivia’s death remains unconfirmed, the police have ruled out any suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragic event. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated that Olivia was attended to by medical personnel after falling ill on Skene Road but sadly did not survive, with her death currently classified as unexplained.
