Agricultural economist Ellen Goddard predicted Loblaw’s reversal of the decision, noting the heightened emotional response amid trade uncertainties. Following a CBC News inquiry, Loblaw announced plans to reintroduce country-of-origin information on produce displays and implement a symbol identifying American products affected by U.S. tariffs.
