Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, extending its service from the US. This subscription plan allows British customers to protect multiple Apple devices under one plan, offering convenience and potential cost savings.
Priced at £16.99 per month, AppleCare One covers up to three eligible devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. It provides repair services or up to three replacement devices per year for accidental damage, loss, or theft, depending on the claim type.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ service by allowing customers to safeguard multiple products under a single subscription. This consolidated approach could lead to significant monthly savings, with potential savings of up to £11.48 for customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch compared to individual AppleCare+ plans.
One notable advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window surpasses the standard 60-day period for purchasing AppleCare+ after device acquisition.
Furthermore, the subscription adapts seamlessly to device upgrades. When a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old product is automatically replaced on the subscription with the new device.
Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, emphasized the user-centric approach of AppleCare One, stating that it offers a simpler and more flexible way for UK customers to enjoy the trusted protection of AppleCare+ across all their eligible products.
By introducing AppleCare One, Apple aims to provide a comprehensive and hassle-free device protection solution that caters to the evolving needs of its customers.
