Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of John F Kennedy, has recently disclosed that she has been diagnosed with terminal blood cancer and has less than a year to live. The 35-year-old environmental journalist was diagnosed with myeloid leukemia shortly after giving birth to her daughter last year.

In an article for the New Yorker magazine on the anniversary of JFK’s assassination, Tatiana shared that she received her diagnosis in May 2024 when her doctor noticed abnormalities in her white blood cell count during a hospital visit. Despite considering herself one of the healthiest individuals she knew, Tatiana had no prior symptoms indicating a health issue.

Following her diagnosis, Tatiana underwent two bone marrow transplants, chemotherapy, and blood transfusions. She also participated in a clinical trial for CAR-T-cell therapy at the beginning of 2025. Despite these efforts, she has been informed that her prognosis is bleak.

Expressing her concerns about her family, Tatiana expressed guilt for adding another tragedy to her mother’s life. Reflecting on her health struggles, she criticized her second cousin, RFK Jr, for his decisions on cancer funding and vaccine skepticism, calling him an embarrassment to her family.

The Kennedy family has faced multiple tragedies over the years, leading to speculation about a supposed “Kennedy Curse.” From the assassination of John F Kennedy to the untimely deaths of other family members like Robert Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the family’s history has been marred by sorrow and misfortune.
