A tragic incident occurred at a Costa del Sol holiday resort where a man lost his life after being ejected from a boat and left behind. The incident took place around midday in Puerto Banus, southwest of Marbella. Reports suggest that the boat, allegedly involved in drug-related activities, had four powerful engines. Witnesses described how the individuals on the boat deserted the victim near a fuel station before fleeing the scene. Emergency responders declared the man deceased upon arrival.

Contradictory reports indicate that the unidentified man, estimated to be around 30 years old, was tossed into the sea close to the gas station before being retrieved and pronounced dead. Law enforcement sources mentioned no visible signs of physical assault on the victim.

Footage shared online showed National Police and Civil Guard vehicles at the scene, alongside yachts in the port, with an ambulance also in attendance. The victim’s body has been transferred to Malaga’s Institute of Forensic Medicine for further examination. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of the incident being connected to a dispute over drugs.

Recent incidents of violence in Puerto Banus and its vicinity have led to heightened police presence during peak tourist seasons, with operations targeting upscale establishments. In a separate event on October 3, a Swedish rapper known as Hamza Karimi, performing as Hamko, was fatally shot in broad daylight in Puerto Banus. He had a connection to another Swedish rapper, Einar, who was also killed in a shooting incident in Stockholm.

Spanish authorities confirmed Karimi’s death after he was taken to Costa del Sol Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. A 38-year-old suspect was apprehended near the crime scene and subsequently detained pending further legal proceedings.

Notably, in a previous incident in June last year, Manchester City footballer Erling Haaland was present during a police operation at Playa Padre beach club in Marbella. The footballer cooperated with authorities during the raid, which resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old individual.

In March of the same year, a shooting transpired at the British-operated eatery La Sala, leading to the arrest of two men with alleged ties to organized crime. These violent incidents have prompted individuals like reality TV personality Kerry Katona to reconsider relocating to the Costa del Sol due to safety concerns.
