Another contestant has been eliminated from the popular TV show, Strictly Come Dancing, after a surprising dance-off. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a former Chelsea footballer, received his highest score in the competition but was still voted off by the judges. He and his partner, Lauren Oakley, found themselves in the bottom two alongside Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.

During Icon’s Week, Jimmy portrayed Prince in an American Smooth performance to Purple Rain, securing a joint third place on the leaderboard. On the other hand, Amber and Nikita impressed the judges with their Cha Cha Cha to Ariana Grande’s Break Free, earning the second spot.

After both couples danced again, the judges unanimously decided to save Amber, leaving Jimmy to bid farewell to the show. Fans expressed disappointment on social media, with some suggesting the results were predetermined.

In his post-elimination interview, Jimmy expressed gratitude for the experience and praised the show’s production team. Lauren, his partner, also shared her emotions, highlighting the joy of teaching him to dance despite his background as a footballer.

The remaining ten couples will showcase their talents in a Halloween special on Saturday, November 1st, as Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Viewers can catch the results show on Sunday, November 2nd.
