Tragic Suicide at Disney: Heartbreaking Details Emerge

New heartbreaking details have surfaced regarding the passing of a devoted Disney enthusiast, as witnesses recount the harrowing moment they heard a loud noise at the resort.

Summer Equitz, aged 31, tragically took her own life after traveling solo from Illinois to Disney World Florida, without her family. She leaped from a 12th-floor balcony in front of guests and staff at the Contemporary Resort on October 14.

A married couple staying at the hotel shared the heart-wrenching experience of witnessing Summer’s fall just 30 feet away from where they stood on the fourth-floor observation deck. An incident report from an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy, obtained by local media, detailed that the couple heard a loud noise and saw a woman lying on the ground about 10 yards away.

One of the witnesses approached to check if Summer was breathing, but sadly, she did not appear to be. Concurrently, a hotel staff member was on the 15th-floor observation deck with a colleague when Summer jumped from three floors above. Upon reaching the 12th floor, the staff member discovered a blue tote bag near the steel rail guard.

According to Summer’s LinkedIn profile, she had previously worked as a character performer and entertainment host at Disneyland Anaheim from 2012 to 2015. She and her husband, Nicholas Danlovich, had celebrated their honeymoon at Walt Disney World just a year before. A photo she shared with Bob Iger, the CEO of the Walt Disney Company, was captioned, “My life has peaked.”

Tragically, ten months prior to her death, Summer had announced her pregnancy and posted a joyful picture holding an ultrasound scan with her husband. This announcement followed their Disney honeymoon in Orlando, Florida, where she later met her demise.

This unfortunate incident occurred shortly after another tragic event at Disneyland in California, where a woman in her 60s passed away after riding the Haunted Mansion attraction on October 6. Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and provided CPR before she was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.
