The British boxer has now been discharged from the hospital in Lagos and will continue his recovery at his home in Nigeria. Before heading home, Joshua accompanied his mother to the funeral home where Ghami and Ayodele are resting.

A statement from the local government expressed condolences to the families of the deceased, emphasizing the tragic loss in the recent road accident involving Anthony Joshua. The government officials extended their prayers for the departed souls and offered support to the grieving families and loved ones.

Joshua, along with his mother, paid their final respects to the departed friends at the funeral home in Lagos. The bodies are set for repatriation later in the evening.

The fatal accident occurred when Joshua’s black SUV collided with a stationary truck, resulting in the untimely deaths of his friends. Following his victory over Jake Paul in Miami on December 19, Joshua was on holiday in Nigeria.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and authorities are seeking the truck driver who illegally parked on the highway’s hard shoulder. According to Nigerian police, the truck driver was not present at the scene when the accident occurred.

The driver of the SUV, who has been discharged from the hospital, provided a statement to the police. Preliminary investigations revealed overspeeding and a burst front tire on the SUV, leading to the loss of control and subsequent collision with the stationary truck.
