“Winter Health Tips: Expert Reveals Essential Hacks”

A physician has revealed essential health tips to prevent falling sick during the winter season. He cautioned about the prevalent spread of illnesses during this time.

With the drop in temperatures, there is a noticeable increase in cases of colds, flu, Covid, and various other ailments. This rise is attributed to the ability of viruses to thrive better in cold, dry conditions, coupled with increased indoor interactions among people.

While it’s challenging to completely avoid falling ill, there are measures everyone can adopt to reduce the risk. One expert, known as Doctor Suraj Kukadia or Dr Sooj, took to TikTok to share insights on this topic.

In his video titled “ultimate health hacks to stay healthy this winter,” Dr Sooj addressed concerns about catching common winter ailments. He offered advice on home remedies in different categories to enhance overall well-being and cautioned against certain practices.

Emphasizing the importance of good hygiene practices in reducing illness risks, Dr Sooj highlighted key habits that matter. These include avoiding close contact with symptomatic individuals, ensuring proper ventilation in crowded spaces, regular handwashing, refraining from touching the face, and maintaining personal item hygiene.

He also shared tips on managing illness if symptoms arise, such as staying hydrated, using home remedies like honey and lemon for a sore throat, and cautioning on the use of certain over-the-counter treatments. Additionally, he recommended nasal rinsing with saline, avoiding specific nasal sprays, and utilizing warm salt water gargling for throat relief.

For symptom relief, Dr Sooj suggested pain relievers, humidifiers to add moisture to the air, and proper maintenance of the equipment to prevent mold growth. These practical tips aim to help individuals maintain their health and well-being throughout the winter season.
