A mother of four was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend, who was described as being obsessed with her, leaving her in critical condition in a shopping center parking lot. The victim, Savannah Kulla, aged 29, was discovered deceased outside a shopping mall after her former partner, Anthony Deschepper, 38, allegedly abandoned her there. The tragic incident unfolded in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, where the 38-year-old reportedly abducted Savannah and their one-year-old daughter. Fortunately, the baby was later found safe with relatives who informed the authorities that Deschepper had left the child with them before fleeing. Law enforcement promptly issued an alert and commenced a search for the suspect.
Local authorities, alongside Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, located the perpetrator at a gas station in Niagara Falls around 2:30 am the following morning. Deschepper was fatally shot by a police officer during an altercation, resulting in his death at the scene. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted to ascertain the circumstances of the encounter.
Although a firearm was recovered at the scene, there was no indication that Deschepper discharged it. Another individual, whose identity and connection to Deschepper remain undisclosed, was apprehended at the site. This individual was believed to have been driving the vehicle in which Deschepper was traveling before his confrontation with the authorities.
Savannah’s grieving mother, Karen, revealed that her daughter had recently ended her relationship with Deschepper due to his obsessive behavior. Karen expressed her devastation over the loss of her daughter, describing Savannah as a dedicated mother who adored her children immensely.
The family set up a GoFundMe page to support Savannah’s children in the wake of the tragedy, emphasizing her deep love and commitment to her family. The fundraiser’s statement highlighted Savannah’s unwavering devotion to her kids and the void left by her untimely passing. The family pledged to provide her children with the care and love that Savannah would have bestowed upon them every day.
