“Scottie Scheffler Joins $100M Club with PGA Tour Win”

Scottie Scheffler has now entered the exclusive $100 million club alongside Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, following his impressive victory at The American Express to kick off the season. The current world No.1 showcased his potential to challenge for major titles this year.

Last year, Scheffler faced a setback when he injured his hand while handling a wine glass during the holiday season. However, he has made a remarkable comeback in 2026, finishing with a six-under 66 in California to secure a four-shot win at 27-under par.

This victory marks Scheffler’s 20th win on the PGA Tour, all achieved within the past four years, granting him a lifetime membership. Notably, nine of his wins have been by a margin of four shots or more.

With his earnings reaching $101,109,136, Scheffler now joins the elite group of players, including Woods and McIlroy, who have earned over nine figures on the PGA Tour. At 29, he also joins the ranks of Woods and Jack Nicklaus as one of the few players to achieve 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.

Reflecting on his success, Scheffler expressed humility, stating, “It’s been a great start to my career. It’s been special.” His consistent performance since his first win in 2022 has set him apart, with 11 more wins than McIlroy and a string of impressive finishes in recent events.

Jason Day, the joint runner-up, acknowledged Scheffler’s dominance, likening his performance to that of Tiger Woods. Scheffler’s relentless pursuit of excellence and hunger for success have set him apart in the competitive golfing arena.

Looking ahead, Scheffler remains focused on further improvement, highlighting that he believes he can raise his game even higher. As the golfing world prepares for the Masters tournament in April, Scheffler’s determination and talent continue to make him a force to be reckoned with on the course.

Additionally, teenager Blades Brown made a notable impact during the tournament, playing alongside Scheffler in the final group and gaining valuable experience from the eventual champion’s performance. Brown, 18, expressed his awe at witnessing Scheffler’s triumph, emphasizing the surreal nature of the experience.

As Scheffler’s success story unfolds, golf enthusiasts eagerly anticipate his future endeavors on the course, where he aims to further solidify his reputation as one of the sport’s rising stars.
