BBC Studios Executive Producer Sarah James expressed sadness over Dennis’s departure and praised his enthusiasm for the show. She hoped that he would return to dancing once he has recovered.

Earlier, Dennis had to miss a performance on October 11 due to illness, which the BBC attributed to doctors’ advice for rest. The illness was later revealed to be vertigo, as discussed by Dennis himself and his partner Dianne Buswell on the show It Takes Two.

Despite these setbacks, Dennis and Buswell had been looking forward to returning to the competition before the recent calf injury forced Dennis to withdraw. Fans and supporters have been sending well wishes to Dennis for his recovery.
