A woman is being sought by law enforcement authorities for hurling a freshly brewed cup of scalding coffee at a McDonald’s manager during a dispute over a refund. The disturbing incident was captured on CCTV, showing the customer swearing and then throwing the hot coffee, causing the manager to sustain minor burns.
In the video, the customer can be heard repeatedly accusing the manager of dishonesty regarding the refund process. Despite the manager’s attempts to explain that the refund was being processed and assuring her that she had only been charged for the coffee, the customer remained agitated, demanding an apology and expressing frustration over the time spent at the restaurant.
The incident occurred at a McDonald’s branch in Saginaw, Michigan, and has garnered widespread attention online. Detective Russ Pahssen of the Buena Vista Township Police confirmed that the assailant has been identified but remains at large. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, with potential charges ranging from felonious assault to a lesser offense based on the manager’s injuries.
Authorities disclosed that the suspect resides near the McDonald’s location where the incident took place and fled the scene following the attack.
