McDonald’s issued an apology following a customer complaint where a teenage girl discovered a speck of green mold on her chicken burger bun. The incident occurred at the Rice Lane outlet in Walton when the girl received her order after the breakfast menu had ended.
Upon receiving the complaint, McDonald’s offered a replacement meal to the customer and expressed regret for the oversight. Despite the offer, the girl declined the replacement, emphasizing her decision to never patronize McDonald’s again due to the unpleasant experience.
A McDonald’s spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to food safety and quality control, assuring customers of adherence to stringent standards to avoid such incidents. The restaurant team promptly apologized to the customer, provided a full refund, replacement meal, and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.
In other news, McDonald’s introduced eight new limited edition menu items from various countries, including burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and drinks from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, and desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia. The new menu launched on October 22 and will be available for six weeks.
