The future of Freeview is uncertain as more households are shifting towards streaming services, potentially leading to a decline in traditional aerial use. Adding to the competition is the return of a rival device that offers an expanded range of content.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer, powered by Freely, enables viewers to access live content online rather than through conventional aerial signals. The device quickly gained popularity upon its recent store release, selling out due to high demand. Manhattan has now restocked the Aero to meet the strong consumer interest.
In addition to its comeback, the Aero now includes HBO Max, consolidating content from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., DC, and more within a single app. HBO Max features popular TV series like The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, Succession, and The White Lotus, as well as movie franchises such as Harry Potter and Batman.
The integration of HBO Max enhances the Aero’s entertainment offerings, although a separate subscription is required, starting at £4.99 per month. For budget-conscious viewers, the Aero still provides a variety of free content through Freely, including over 50 live TV channels, on-demand shows, voice search, personalized recommendations, a TV guide, and the ability to pause live TV.
Manhattan’s COO, Alex Arbab-Zadeh, expressed confidence in meeting the demand for the Aero and emphasized the value of HBO Max’s premium content and sports access. The Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely is currently priced at £89.99 and available from retailers like Currys, Argos, and John Lewis.
