While Mirror Sport observed cars navigating through deep puddles near the airport, such weather occurrences are common in a desert city like Las Vegas. The amount of standing water decreased significantly by the next day, and there were no concerns raised by F1 officials regarding the impact of weather on the upcoming race.

Although showers returned during media day, causing drivers to use umbrellas, there were no reports of standing water on the race circuit. More rain is predicted for the upcoming days, but conditions are expected to improve by the weekend, with a dry race anticipated.

Race organizers are optimistic that the rainy weather won’t deter spectators, especially with reduced ticket prices and increased track activities planned for the event. Sales have seen a significant increase compared to the previous year, with expectations of a sell-out event.

In the championship standings, Lando Norris leads with a comfortable margin over his teammate Oscar Piastri, who is struggling to maintain his form. Max Verstappen remains in contention but faces a considerable points gap to catch up. The season will conclude with races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi following the Las Vegas event.
