Josh Vintner-Jackson, aged 32, received the devastating diagnosis of stage four cancer. A life coach and mentor, Josh is now urgently raising funds to access specialized medications in his fight against the disease.
With generous contributions pouring in through his GoFundMe page, including donations from notable figures like Raymond Blanc, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and James Dunmore, and public support from personalities like Piers Morgan and George Lineker, Josh has managed to amass an impressive £110,000 within a week.
In 2020, while working for a startup in Texas, Josh, known for his fitness, faced health challenges. Despite initially being misdiagnosed with constipation, a tumor the size of a golf ball was eventually discovered in his colon, leading to a stage three cancer diagnosis at the age of 28.
After undergoing 12 rounds of solitary chemotherapy due to Covid restrictions, Josh’s cancer went into remission by April 2021. However, in a series of setbacks, he later faced a recurrence of cancer in his lungs, transitioning to stage 4 colon cancer, necessitating lifelong chemotherapy.
Following a brief pause in treatment and subsequent health complications, including a lung infection and heart surgery, Josh has resumed chemotherapy, aiming for recovery and hopeful of avoiding further radiation therapy for his vertebrae.
Enduring the challenges of treatment, Josh remains determined, setting small goals for himself, like daily walks and finding solace in simple pleasures like gardening and quality time with family. Amidst his ongoing battle, he emphasizes the importance of support for young cancer patients and advocates for breaking the isolation often experienced in their journey.
Despite the hardships, Josh’s resilience and positivity shine through, with friends and supporters praising his strength and determination. To assist Josh in his fight against stage 4 cancer, donations can be made through his GoFundMe page.
