Witnesses on the ground shared harrowing experiences, with debris reportedly scattered up to 10 miles from the crash site. Residents, like Justin Dunn and Katie Didit, described hearing the explosion and witnessing the aftermath, with Didit capturing the swift darkening of the sky in downtown Louisville within minutes.

Kentucky Truck Parts & Service, located near the crash site, revealed the proximity of the incident to their business, emphasizing the damage caused to neighboring properties and individuals. UPS expressed deep sorrow over the accident, emphasizing their commitment to safety and collaboration with investigative authorities.
