A father shared the tragic story of how his 14-year-old son had dinner with their family before being discovered unconscious on the bedroom floor after inhaling deodorant fumes. Daniel Maguire, a fit and health-conscious adolescent who was passionate about the gym, passed away suddenly on September 27 after inhaling fumes from a deodorant can at their home in Hartstown, Dublin. His grieving father, Dermot, issued a cautionary message about the risks associated with the emerging trend called ‘fast gas,’ stating, “It took one can of deodorant and a thousand lives changed.”

Dermot emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the dangers, expressing his hope that by sharing Daniel’s story, they could prevent similar tragedies and save lives.
