David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly embroiled in a dispute with their neighbors over renovations to their home. The celebrity couple showcased their residence on Victoria’s Netflix series, offering a glimpse into their lifestyle and properties. However, a scene revealing a newly added beach in their garden caught the attention of locals.
While the Beckhams had approval to create a lake at their £12 million Cotswolds mansion, concerns have arisen regarding the unmentioned addition of a 1,000 sq ft beach area. The couple’s expansive 43-acre estate, usually shielded from public view, inadvertently displayed the beach in the background during a show segment.
Local authorities are now investigating a potential planning breach following complaints from neighbors. The West Oxfordshire district council confirmed the receipt of a report on the matter and vowed to look into the situation further.
David has meticulously transformed the Cotswolds estate over the years, investing in features like vegetable patches, bee colonies, and special rose gardens for Victoria and their daughter, Harper. The couple purchased the Cotswolds property in 2016 for approximately £6.15 million, but their development plans have not always resonated well with the community.
In addition to their Cotswolds estate, the Beckhams own a nine-bedroom mansion in Miami, acquired for £55 million in cash. Their property portfolio also includes an £18 million flat in Florida and a £31 million townhouse in London’s Holland Park. Efforts to reach David and Victoria’s representatives for comment have been made.
