The team at BBC Breakfast is reportedly upset with the network executives’ perceived inconsistency in handling allegations, as Kaye Adams was suspended from Radio Scotland for bullying accusations, while Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt, facing similar claims, have not been suspended pending a review.

Adams was removed from her BBC radio show over bullying allegations, while Munchetty and Stayt are also under review for the same issue but have not faced suspension like Adams. The BBC is said to be investigating various complaints against Munchetty and Stayt without taking immediate action.

A source revealed that Adams’ suspension in Scotland stirred controversy within the BBC, as she is accused of the same behavior as Munchetty and Stayt. This has raised concerns about perceived double standards within the organization.

Adams was taken off her hosting duties at BBC Radio Scotland while an inquiry is ongoing, with complaints against her reportedly submitted through the BBC’s Call It Out initiative. This initiative was launched following misconduct findings involving former MasterChef presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

After a review, Wallace and Torode were informed that they would no longer host MasterChef due to upheld allegations of misconduct. The Call It Out initiative, stemming from this incident, has also uncovered complaints related to BBC Breakfast.

When approached for comment on the situation involving Munchetty, Stayt, and Adams, a BBC spokesperson declined to discuss individual HR matters.
