Justin Rose Eyes Career Grand Slam After Record-Breaking Win

Justin Rose shared his aspirations of achieving a career Grand Slam following his victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, where he surpassed Tiger Woods’ scoring record. The 45-year-old golfer, ranked third in the world, also hinted that he is not yet considering taking on the role of the next European Ryder Cup captain if Luke Donald opts out in 2027.

In an interview, Rose expressed optimism about his future in golf, stating, “I still believe there’s good stuff in front of me.” He dominated the Farmers Insurance Open, leading from start to finish with a score of 23-under 265, one stroke better than both Tiger Woods in 1999 and George Burns in 1987.

Reflecting on his recent performance, Rose acknowledged his improved tee-to-green play and mental strength in California. He emphasized the importance of accessing his full potential consistently, building confidence from his past successes.

With 13 tour titles under his belt, Rose has triumphed at prestigious venues like Muirfield Village, Aronimink, and Torrey Pines, among others. His determination to excel further in his career is fueled by his desire to win more major championships, particularly aiming for multiple victories in the most prominent golf events.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka returned to the PGA Tour and finished tied for 56th place, as the new season of the Saudi-backed league is set to begin soon. Rose, who declined an initial offer from the league, emphasized his commitment to playing against the best golfers globally by remaining active on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour. He expressed that the challenge of competing against top-tier players motivates him to pursue his career goals relentlessly.
