“Bannon Mocks Trump-Prince Andrew Connection in Epstein Emails”

Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon made light of the connection between ex-President Donald Trump and Prince Andrew in discussions involving Jeffrey Epstein. The remarks were part of 23,000 documents given to the US House Oversight Committee by Epstein’s estate after his death. The exchanges coincided with Trump’s initial state visit to the UK, where he and Melania participated in ceremonial activities alongside Prince Andrew.

One of the messages between Epstein and Bannon occurred after images surfaced of Trump and Prince Andrew together during the visit. Epstein texted Bannon, humorously noting the coincidence, while Bannon responded by highlighting the link between the two figures.

Reacting to the leaked emails, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Democrats of selectively releasing emails to tarnish President Trump’s reputation.

Virginia Giuffre, who accused Prince Andrew of misconduct, previously worked at Trump’s Mar A Lago resort in Florida before allegedly being introduced to Epstein by Ghislaine Maxwell.

In an earlier email exchange, Prince Andrew vehemently denied involvement in any sex abuse allegations and implored Epstein to support his denial. The emails also revealed confirmation of Prince Andrew’s association with Giuffre in a photo.

Epstein later disclosed that Peter Mandelson advised him to steer clear of Prince Andrew in 2016. The correspondence indicated ongoing contact between Mandelson and Epstein for several years.

Epstein’s demise in 2019 amid pending legal proceedings shed light on Andrew’s entanglement with the scandal, leading to his removal from royal positions and a financial settlement with Giuffre without accepting guilt.

Despite denying direct knowledge of Giuffre, Prince Andrew admitted interactions with Epstein and Maxwell, including visits to private locations associated with the financier. He expressed willingness to testify under oath if legally advised to do so.

The unfolding events surrounding Trump, Prince Andrew, and Epstein underscore a complex web of relationships and interactions that continue to draw public attention. Join our US Politics WhatsApp community for real-time updates and exclusive content from across the pond.
