UK households relying on Freeview for television content are advised to perform a quick retune of their equipment following recent channel adjustments. Freeview has announced updates that involve channel name changes and repositioning within the TV guide. While the alterations are not drastic, a prompt retune will ensure that viewers have access to the latest programming.
Freeview has stated, “On May 20, 2026, certain broadcasters will be altering their channels. Viewers are required to retune to keep their TV and channel lineup current.”
Among the modifications, two channels have undergone name changes. Hobbycraft TV on channel 97 is now known as Shop Unlimited, and Great! Romance Mix on channel 61 has been replaced by Great! TV +1. Additionally, channel numbers have been adjusted, with Great! Movies shifting from channel 61 to channel 62, and Great! TV +1 moving to channel 61.
Freeview emphasized the continuous evolution of channels on its platform, with channel providers making decisions to relocate, add, or remove channels. Freeview remains committed to offering audiences a diverse and engaging content selection.
