Beauty Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Concealing Partner’s Body

A 62-year-old woman who taught beauty was taken into custody for allegedly harming her young partner and concealing his body in her backyard.

The body of Alex Sandro da Silva Rocha, 21, was found in Bebedouro, Sao Paulo in Brazil recently. Reports from Brazilian media indicate that the victim was stabbed in the chest with scissors. Jussara Luzia Fernandes admitted to the crime, according to the police.

Having lost her husband in January due to an accidental death in their swimming pool, Fernandes will now face an investigation by the Civil Police following her confession.

Law enforcement officers searched the property last week and interrogated the woman, who initially denied any wrongdoing. However, authorities observed a freshly dug hole in the backyard near the entrance, despite her claim that she had buried her dog there. The Fire Department was called to the scene, leading to the grim discovery.

After being apprehended, Fernandes confessed to engaging in a heated argument with her boyfriend and resorting to stabbing him multiple times in self-defense using scissors. It was reported that she enlisted someone to dig a grave for him.

Detective Joao Vitor Silverio disclosed that Fernandes even involved her son in moving the body out of the house. The teacher is currently under arrest, facing charges of homicide and concealing a corpse.

The victim’s mother has spoken out, stating that her son was in an abusive relationship and was attempting to break free from his partner. Describing Fernandes as a controlling and possessive woman, Ivonete Ribeiro da Silva expressed hope for justice to prevail.

Detailing the controlling behavior of Fernandes, the victim’s mother recounted incidents where her son was manipulated and isolated, including an episode where Fernandes pretended to be him during a phone conversation. She emphasized her son’s intention to leave the relationship due to the unbearable control exerted by his girlfriend.
