A teenager left severely injured by a brutal petrol attack in Coonabarabran, Australia, is reported to be in critical condition. Jacob Thompson, 19, suffered extensive burns covering 32 percent of his body, including severe third-degree injuries to his face, torso, arms, back, and legs. The attack, believed to be linked to an ongoing feud between two families in the small rural town, has left Jacob fighting for his life.
Following the incident, Jacob was rushed to intensive care after being set on fire by a group of individuals who allegedly approached him and doused him with a flammable liquid. Passersby intervened to extinguish the flames before he was taken to the hospital. His injuries were so severe that even his siblings struggled to recognize him.
Jacob’s family described the attack as deeply traumatizing, with his mother, parents, grandparents, and younger siblings deeply affected by the harrowing event.
