Lando Norris rushed to embrace his stylish partner Margarida Corceiro following his victory as Formula 1 champion. The British driver was seen sharing kisses and hugs with the Portuguese model in the midst of the crowd before taking to the podium to celebrate his triumph over Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Norris secured the title by finishing third at the Yas Marina Circuit, maintaining his 12-point lead over Verstappen. Despite briefly losing second place to his teammate Piastri, Norris held his ground and clinched the championship.
Charles Leclerc posed a late threat to Norris, but his Ferrari’s performance waned, allowing Norris a clear path to victory. Overwhelmed with emotion, Norris expressed gratitude to his team over the radio, shedding tears of joy as he crossed the finish line.
After exiting his car, Norris embraced his parents and shared a heartfelt moment with his girlfriend Corceiro, confirming their rekindled relationship. Corceiro, a familiar face in the public sphere, has drawn attention to the partners of F1 drivers this season, sparking discussions after being featured during the Singapore Grand Prix broadcast.
In response to the increased visibility, Corceiro remarked, “I don’t seek out the cameras. If they capture me, they capture me. Sometimes I’m not even aware if I’m being filmed.”
Reflecting on his achievement, Norris expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the support of his McLaren team, family, and rivals Verstappen and Piastri. Despite the challenges faced throughout the season, Norris remained resilient and dedicated to pushing to the end, ultimately bringing glory to McLaren after a nine-year journey with the team.
