A traveler on an all-inclusive vacation has likened the meals provided to “dog food.” Erin Wells and Jordan Evans had planned a birthday celebration in Crete, Greece, at a four-star hotel following positive online reviews. Despite spending £2,218 on the easyJet holiday, they were dissatisfied with the food quality, leading them to spend an additional £600 on outside meals.
Erin, a hospital administrator, expressed concerns about the lack of food labeling, unidentified meat, and unhygienic conditions including a flooded room, moldy pool and sun loungers. She refrained from using the pool due to fears of falling ill.
While easyJet is working with the couple and the hotel to address the issues, Erin desires a full refund, though she doubts its possibility. She criticized the dessert quality, labeling them as unappetizing and inedible. The overall food experience was deemed repulsive, with a comparison to dog food.
Despite choosing Crete based on positive reviews, the vacation turned out to be disappointing and far from expectations. Erin hopes that others do not face the same ordeal and considers removing the hotel from the website. EasyJet holidays expressed regret over Erin’s experience and aims to investigate the matter with their hotel partner to provide a resolution.
