Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone 17e model, offering significant upgrades at an affordable price point. Priced at £599, the device features a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, durable construction, and an impressive single-lens camera. This price point is £200 lower than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
Samsung has also introduced new models, the A57 and A37, starting at a competitive price of £399. While these models may not match the performance or charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they do boast a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, offering a smoother user experience compared to the 60Hz display on the iPhone 17e.
The Galaxy phones from Samsung come equipped with notable features such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance ratings. Additionally, Samsung has integrated advanced AI features into the A37 and A57 models, including Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
Furthermore, Samsung has enhanced the Voice Transcription feature within the Voice Recorder app, allowing users to transcribe call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text for easier reference. The company has committed to providing long-term support for the A57 5G and A37 5G models, guaranteeing up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th. The Galaxy A57 5G will be priced from £529 for the 256GB variant, while the Galaxy A37 5G will start at £399 for the 128GB model.
The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in colors like Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in options like Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of democratizing AI technology to benefit more users and highlighted the everyday performance and AI capabilities of the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models.
