“Sky Mobile Announces £1.50 Monthly Price Increase”

Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience a hike in their monthly bills starting next month following the announcement of a new price increase. The majority of customers can expect a £1.50 per month rise, translating to an annual increment of £18, with some individuals facing varying adjustments in their bills.

The revised pricing will be implemented on February 14, 2026, marking the first alteration in rates for customers under contract by Sky Mobile in over seven years. Should customers be dissatisfied with the increased charges and are within the minimum contract period, they have the option to terminate their package without incurring early termination fees.

Despite the general price adjustment, the social tariff offered by Sky Mobile to customers with lower incomes will remain unchanged. The company attributes the price modification to elevated wholesale network expenses and assures that affected customers will receive notifications starting immediately.

A spokesperson for Sky Mobile stated, “To maintain the quality, service, and value that our customers expect, a £1.50 monthly increase will be applied to most Sky Mobile subscribers from February. This decision, made after more than seven years without mid-contract mobile price hikes, reflects the industry’s ongoing cost challenges while enabling continued investments in network infrastructure and customer service.”

In a similar vein, O2 recently announced a £2.50 per month increase for nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers, up from the initially planned rise of £1.80 per month, effective from April 2026. Three mobile users opting for data plans of 4GB or less will experience a monthly price surge of £1.80 from April, an 80p escalation compared to the current £1 increment.

Customers selecting plans between 4GB and 100GB will face a £1.90 monthly increase, while those with over 100GB will encounter a £2.30 rise per month. Three broadband users are also slated to witness a £3.50 monthly bill uptick from April.

Vodafone mobile customers signing up after November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly rise, while Basics SIM plan subscribers will experience a £1.50 increase. Additionally, Vodafone broadband consumers will face a £3.50 monthly escalation. Existing Vodafone or Three broadband and mobile contract holders will see their prices adjusted as per their existing agreements.
