A tech billionaire, Bryan Johnson, shared his excitement for life after conducting experiments with magic mushrooms in a bid to slow down the aging process. Johnson, aged 48, consumed a significant dose of psychedelic mushrooms to investigate their potential effects on longevity. This venture, part of his ongoing quest to extend life indefinitely, involved analyzing 240 biomarkers to study the impact of magic mushrooms on aging.
Johnson, known for his involvement in the Netflix documentary “Don’t Die,” dedicates approximately £1.6 million annually to reversing aging. Under the supervision of 30 doctors, his daily routine has reportedly rejuvenated his skin, lungs, and vitality. Johnson expressed his broad approach in seeking rejuvenation and longevity, stating, “We’re exploring various avenues to identify any signs of rejuvenation or longevity benefits.”
During the experiment, Johnson’s Blueprint co-founder, Kate Tolo, managed his social media accounts while he experienced the effects of the magic mushrooms. Tolo described his altered state, noting time distortion, visual hallucinations, and a sense of connection to the universe. Johnson’s journey was documented through various activities, including brain scans, blood pressure measurements, and saliva analysis.
Upon regaining control of his phone, Johnson shared his gratitude for being alive and hinted at personal transformation from the experience. He emphasized that despite societal expectations, he does not fear death, having made peace with it during past struggles. Johnson expressed appreciation for his followers, acknowledging a sense of interconnectedness with them, albeit with a touch of humor.
Despite his unconventional approach to aging, which has included injecting his son’s blood and using an oxygen chamber, Johnson has not yet released a comprehensive report on his mushroom experiment findings.
