A man has been taken into police custody following the stabbing death of a woman, Agne Druskienea, in Hornchurch, East London. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday evening, where paramedics responded to a stabbing at a residence on Cranham Road. Agne was pronounced dead at the scene, and her husband, Augustinas Druskis, 43, has been charged with her murder.
Augustinas Druskis is scheduled to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday in connection with the case. The victim was discovered at the Cranham Road residence around 1:40 pm. While formal identification is pending, her identity has been disclosed to her next of kin.
According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Service, emergency personnel were alerted to the stabbing by London Ambulance Service paramedics at 01:04 hrs on Saturday. Despite the efforts of first responders, Agne tragically lost her life. Her family has been notified and is receiving support from specialized officers.
The suspect, who was the victim’s spouse, was apprehended at the scene.
