Bargain seeker Jordon Cox shared a savvy trick to uncover when a promotion is ending at Tesco using a “secret code.” Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media.
In a recent video, he unveiled that items on Clubcard Price promotion feature a unique six-digit number indicating the offer’s expiration date. By decoding the number in reverse and in sets of two, shoppers can determine the expiry date: the last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year.
Tesco is alerting customers to utilize £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers before November 30. Shoppers earn Clubcard points for grocery purchases in-store or online, fuel from Tesco petrol stations, Tesco Mobile expenses, Tesco credit card spending, and using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card. Accumulating 150 points qualifies for a £1.50 Clubcard voucher, which can be spent at Tesco. Presently, over 24 million UK households possess a Tesco Clubcard.
Shama Wilson, Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director, emphasized the importance of redeeming Clubcard vouchers, highlighting the significant value they hold this quarter. The expiring vouchers could be exchanged for various rewards such as cinema tickets at Cineworld or reward codes at PizzaExpress. Customers are encouraged to check the Tesco app for any expiring vouchers.
