Gerwyn Price recently flaunted his toned physique in a social media post, proudly stating that he is in the best shape of his life.
The Welsh darts player has undergone a significant weight loss transformation while also achieving success in various tournaments. Despite winning the Poland Masters and reaching the final of the Bahrain Masters this year, Price’s physical transformation has garnered considerable attention.
Price’s rigorous workout regimen has led to a dramatic reduction in weight, prompting some observers to express surprise at his lean appearance. Addressing concerns about his weight loss, Price shared pictures of his chiseled physique and reassured fans, saying, “Don’t worry about my weight loss – I feel and look better than ever.”
Pundit Damian Vlottes was astonished by Price’s appearance at the European Championship, likening him to a much slimmer version of his former self. While acknowledging the drastic change, Vlottes offered friendly advice for Price to consider adding some weight back, playfully suggesting that owning a fish and chip shop should make it an easy task.
Throughout his career, Price has been a dominant force in darts, drawing on his athletic background in rugby. Transitioning from his rugby days, where he played as a hooker for teams like Neath and Cross Keys, Price dedicated himself to a burgeoning darts career starting in 2014.
In addition to his rugby exploits, Price also ventured into rugby league, playing for teams such as South Wales Scorpions and Blackwood Bulldogs and earning caps with the Wales Dragonhearts amateur international side.
Phil Vickery, a former Rugby World Cup winner, commended Price’s commitment and consistency in a supportive comment on his social media post.
